We had a longer morning circle today because we weren't in a rush to get to another class! So....we used the kiddos pictures and sang "Where Is....". They each responded when it was their turn....and it was fun to watch them look around the room to find the person we showed. We are still learning each other's names.....so this is good practice to get know our friends better.
The kids played on the playground like busy little bees today. They all have already found a "favorite" spot that they gravitate towards, but when our Weekday Friends join us, they move around and check out the new action!
Today our story was Daddies Do It Different by Alan Sitomer. This story is about how Mommies and Daddies don't do things the same way. Sometimes Daddies are silly and messy and play, but no matter how different they are....both Mommies and Daddies love us and take care of us! The kids all thought that the book was super funny and that the pictures were great.
For our language activity, we made a chart of some things that our Daddies like to do.....with us and by themselves. Daddies like to read books, play football, tickle us, and talk on the phone! Be careful Daddies....your children are watching!!
In art we decorated hats for our Daddies. We used crayons and stickers. More fine motor practice.... disguised as art!
Today was our BEST day yet! Days like today make me excited about what our class will look like at the end of the year! Tomorrow we will be talking about a different kind of family.....animal families!!
